Salmon Run With Bynum

"The design is a circled Eagle head, representing the wisdom and care of our ancestors and the knowledge we have to preserve the natural habitat of our salmon. Within the eagle beak are four salmon eggs symbolizing the four pillars of conservation: respect, diligence, honor, and gratitude.

We are salmon people, all of Alaska is. Our traditions are rooted to the land, rivers and oceans in harvesting and fishing for subsistence and commercial industry. We are known worldwide for Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon but are also dependent on this rich resource in many other ways. It is a great honor to stand strong together as Alaskans in our fight to protect, honor and respect our salmon fisheries from the devastating effects of factory trawlers, natural habitat destruction, and millions of pounds of bycatch waste. 

I am grateful to stand with Jeremy Bynum in this fight as he leads us through the cycles of tradition and evolution just as critically as salmon eggs are a cycle of growth and prosperity against miraculous odds."
